About BridgEd Learning

Helping young people with education, re-engagement and communication with providers.

BridgEd Learning is owned and directed by Navit Shchigel, an Australian educator with 20 years of experience across secondary, vocational and post-secondary education.

Navit’s experience includes school management, teaching and program coordination in special assistance schools. In these roles, she developed individualised learning, wellbeing and re-engagement programs, as well as whole-school frameworks. She worked closely with young people, families, schools, training providers, universities and community services.

During Navit’s time working in education, one of the issues that concerned her most was that some young people finished school without a clear pathway forward. They did not understand their options, schools were often unable to provide a personalised pathway, and they left without recognised qualifications. Navit is passionate about ensuring that every young person receives recognition for their abilities and guidance towards a post-school pathway.

Her experience and understanding of education systems enable her to liaise between education providers and families, and support a young person’s transition from, or re-engagement with, school when appropriate. This informs a practical approach that considers assessment information alongside each young person’s circumstances, interests, goals and level of engagement.
